Product Designer
Own and grow Tavus's design system across tokens, components, themes, patterns, documentation, and contribution practices. Partner with frontend engineers to ensure faithful implementation, elevate visual and motion craft, drive adoption, and eventually take ownership of a product area.
Responsibilities
- Define token architecture, component structure, and theming models for scalable use across products and surfaces.
- Establish design-system standards, documentation, and contribution practices.
- Partner with frontend engineers to ensure faithful and effective implementation.
- Apply meticulous visual, interaction, motion, and micro-interaction craft to components and patterns.
- Build artifacts, documentation, and relationships that drive adoption among designers, engineers, and marketers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product design experience with strong UX judgment.
- Exceptional visual design skills in typography, color, layout, spacing, and detail.
- Motion design experience.
- Experience building and governing design systems at scale.
- Examples of design systems architected and evolved.
- Ability to articulate and defend design decisions and outcomes.
- Comfort working close to code, reviewing implementation, and preventing design-to-build drift.
- Ability to operate with minimal specifications and shifting priorities in a startup environment.
