Product Manager, Developer Experience (SDK)
Champion developers building on Ping Identity's identity and access management platform by owning the Orchestration SDK strategy and roadmap across web, iOS, Android, and hybrid frameworks. Partner with documentation and developer relations teams, gather customer and community insights, manage the product lifecycle and backlog, define success metrics, evangelize SDK capabilities, monitor development and identity trends, and optimize SDKs, APIs, documentation, and tooling for human developers and AI agents.
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Orchestration SDK across Web, iOS, Android, and hybrid frameworks
- Partner with technical documentation and developer relations teams to deliver documentation, quick-start guides, and sample applications
- Coordinate with Engineering and Product Management teams to align SDK capabilities with platform releases
- Engage customers, partner engineers, and open-source communities to gather requirements and feedback
- Map developer journeys and translate insights into a prioritized backlog
- Write technical blog posts and create content highlighting SDK capabilities and integration patterns
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept through release
- Maintain a well-groomed backlog and define success metrics such as SDK adoption and integration time
- Monitor app development trends, cross-platform frameworks, and identity standards
- Assess AI-related trends and improve integration experiences for developers and agents
- Improve the overall developer experience through wider forums and original ideas
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on software development experience
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and FIDO/WebAuthn
- Product sense for clean code and developer ergonomics
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Codex
- Understanding of how AI coding agents interact with SDKs, APIs, documentation, and developer tooling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience defining and executing product roadmaps based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer feedback
- Experience managing a product backlog in an agile environment
- Experience using client-side SDKs and REST APIs is advantageous
- Exposure to or strong interest in agentic infrastructure tools and AI software development loops is advantageous
- Familiarity with machine-to-machine interaction protocols such as MCP is advantageous
