Product Manager
Location: London
Full-time
In office 4 days/week
Why This Role
Payments might not sound glamorous, but the scale of what moves through Modulr's platform speaks for itself. The products you'll own are live, used daily by real businesses and the problems are technically challenging. You'll have real ownership, a short line to decisions and room to shape things. No endless approval chains and no building for the sake of it.
Who We Are
Modulr is the payments automation platform that streamlines money movement with accuracy, control and reliability – built to scale. We process more than 200m transactions and over £180bn in payment value on an annualised basis, and we're trusted by over 6,000 businesses from fast-growing SMEs to global enterprises.
We automate how money moves into and out of a business – payroll, supplier payments, spend management and payment collection – through a single platform, connected to the accounting and payroll systems finance teams already use and underpinned by principal memberships of Visa and Mastercard and direct access to central bank infrastructure.
As a regulated payments provider with over a decade of experience, we're the platform finance teams trust to run mission-critical operations. Modulr is backed by PayPal, FIS, General Atlantic, Blenheim Chalcot, Frog Capital and Highland Europe, with over 400 employees across London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Mumbai.

What You'll Do
This is a product role with real ownership. You will sit within Modulr's vertical solutions team, building and scaling payment products for defined B2B market segments. The team works across a range of verticals, and you will own a product area end to end, working across APIs, dashboards, partner integrations, and payment flows. The verticals differ but the craft is the same: deep customer understanding, sharp product thinking, and focus on commercial outcome.
Own your product area - end-to-end ownership from discovery through to launch and performance management. You will write ROI-driven roadmaps, operate as Product Owner in your squad, and drive delivery across APIs, dashboards, portals, reports, and partner integrations.
Go deep with customers and partners - develop a thorough understanding of the payment processes and customer needs in your vertical. Use those insights to build solutions that improve efficiency, lower costs, and accelerate time to payment, and manage the partner relationships that sit alongside your product.
Operate with commercial clarity - own your product area's performance against agreed metrics and KPIs. Understand your cost base, input into pricing strategy, and communicate your roadmap and its value clearly to the CPO and Product Director.
Land things properly - work closely with sales, demand gen, and product marketing to drive effective launches and sustained traction. Make sure all cross-functional implications, across ops, risk, compliance, and data, are resolved before go-live.
Who You Are
- An experience product manager with a proven track record of delivering results by shipping valuable features and scaling commercial performance.
- Strong grounding in SaaS or API-first product development for B2B customers, with hands-on experience across technical product design, API ecosystems, and UX.
- Proven ability to work effectively across customer engagements (requirements gathering, user testing, product pitching), product development (design, working with engineering teams), and strategy.
- Comfortable working in a regulated environment, balancing pace with operational, security, and compliance requirements.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills across C-level customers, partners, and suppliers.
- High autonomy, with the ability to combine meticulous attention to detail and deep analysis with comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Experience using AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow
