Production Manager
Our Client is a Medtech Injection Molding Company/
Plan, schedule, and manage daily production activities for plastic injection molding processes. Supervise the setup, operation, and maintenance of injection molding machines and related equipment while ensuring strict adherence to plastic injection molding and cleanroom best practices. Ensure all manufacturing processes strictly comply with ISO 13485, FDA, and medical device standards.
This role requires a pragmatic, hands-on leader who bridges management targets with active floor execution. The ideal candidate adapts quickly to changing floor conditions without needing a fixed playbook, driving tangible line performance and team output through practical leadership rather than positional authority.
Responsibilities:
· Plan and utilize resources, manpower, materials, and machinery to maximum capacity to fulfill business objectives and customer demands.
· Partner closely with management on operational targets while maintaining daily, hands-on leadership on the shop floor.
· Navigate ambiguous operational challenges independently, taking ownership to deliver measurable results without needing a pre-built roadmap.
· Lead, train, and manage operators, technicians, and production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and individual accountability over strict hierarchy.
· Drive continuous improvement strategies (Lean, Six Sigma) to boost productivity, improve efficiency, and reduce operational waste.
· Monitor KPIs, production metrics, and machine uptime to drive data-backed decision-making and continuous process optimization.
· Ensure strict compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, FDA regulations (For MedTech division only), cleanroom protocols, and occupational health and safety standards.
· Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Supply Chain teams to maintain material availability, investigate production issues, and execute CAPA effectively.
· Exercise workplace discipline, set clear performance objectives, and handle ad-hoc operational requirements assigned by management.
ROLE AUTHORITY
· Approve production schedules and prioritize manufacturing orders based on customer and business needs.
· Make real-time technical and process adjustments on the production floor to maintain high quality and plant efficiency. Assign roles, approve overtime, and manage shift structures for optimal manpower utilization. Define and enforce performance benchmarks, KPIs, and workplace discipline across the production team.
EDUCATION / ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology, or a related technical discipline.
KEY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
1. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in plastic injection molding, specifically within medical device manufacturing or high-precision environments.
2. Practical, hands-on technical knowledge of medical-grade materials, mold designs, cleanroom operations, and machine troubleshooting.
3. Solid understanding of medical quality management systems (ISO 13485, GMP, FDA) and validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ).
4. Strong track record of navigating operational ambiguity and delivering tangible output rather than relying on positional authority.
5. Proficient in ERP/production planning tools, Lean/Six Sigma principles, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
