Program Operations Support Specialist Junior

This position requires an active Public Trust clearance to be considered.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Program Operations Support Specialist – MID to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to a dynamic program management team. This role is responsible for facilitating smooth program execution through effective coordination, tracking, and reporting of key operational activities. The ideal candidate will bring mid-level experience in program support within a federal, defense, or government contracting environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Operations Support Specialist Junior: $60,000 - $65,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Program Operations Support Specialist Junior Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist program leadership with operational planning, execution, and reporting activities.

  • Maintain and update program documentation, schedules, and deliverables.

  • Track action items, risks, and milestones using program management tools and templates.

  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, briefings, and stakeholder engagements.

  • Support data collection, analysis, and preparation of routine reports and presentations.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and contractual obligations.

  • Interface with cross-functional teams including finance, logistics, HR, and procurement.

  • Respond to taskers and data calls in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Provide administrative support such as correspondence drafting, file management, and travel coordination.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Program Operations Support Specialist Junior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Must have worked as an Action Officer (AO) at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) or one of the military medical headquarters.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project tracking tools.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior experience supporting government or defense programs preferred.

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Public Trust clearance.
