Project Controls Manager

The role
Reporting to the Project Director and responsible for developing, implementing and managing the planning, estimating, cost control, risk management and document control services and for providing information to allow proactive and accurate reporting for the project.
Project description
The project is a major infrastructure programme for a mixed-use development aiming to be a global landmark recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh. The community will be a distinct, self-sustaining hub for Riyadh offering several iconic assets. KBR will provide project management consultancy services in project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.
Main responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project controls team.
- Develop and implement the project controls execution strategy to achieve the contract requirements.
- Develop project controls standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with program management team on all aspects of project controls.
- Establish and manage the WBS and project master schedule.
- Establish and manage the CBS, budget, and project cost control.
- Establish and manage the risk management plan.
- Establish and manage document control.
- Establish and manage change control.
- Monitor and analyse progress, cost and risk.
- Provide monthly and weekly reports.
- Prepare and make presentations.
Experience, skills and knowledge
- BSc construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum overall relevant experience 15 years.
- Minimum relevant experience 10 years in the role projects.
- Minimum regional experience 5 years.
- Required professional memberships and charterships: MRICS or MCIOB required.
- Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities.
- Excellent knowledge of CPM networks, resource and cost loading and risk management techniques.
- Ability to effectively monitor and analyse progress, cost, and risks, identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Experienced user of MS Office and Primavera.
- Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.
