PROJECT MANAGEMENT MANAGER
We are seeking a highly experienced, competent and motivatedProject Manager to lead and manage engineering and constructionprojects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overallplanning, coordination, execution, monitoring and successful completion ofprojects, ensuring that all works are completed safely, on schedule, withinbudget and in accordance with the required quality standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the engineering and construction industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:
- Piping fabrication and installation works;
- Mechanical works;
- Heavy lifting and lifting operations;
- Tank bottom plate maintenance and replacement;
- Tank shell plate maintenance and repair;
- External Floating Roof (EFR) and Internal Floating Roof (IFR) maintenance;
- Tank cone roof and aluminium dome roof maintenance;
- Piping and structural works;
- Shop and field painting works.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and technical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, industry best practices and performance standards.
- Strong decision-making, leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prepare detailed Work Method Statements (WMS) and Risk Assessments (RA) and coordinate with clients for review and approval.
- Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in the overall management of projects, including contract management, cost control and project schedule monitoring.
- Plan, manage, coordinate and oversee engineering and construction projects from commencement to completion.
- Coordinate engineering activities, design reviews, risk assessments, procurement matters and other project-related issues.
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure projects are completed according to schedule and budget.
- Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, materials and resources.
- Prepare material take-offs, cost estimates and other documentation for tenders and project proposals.
- Provide effective site supervision and leadership to project teams, site personnel and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit Work Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), progress reports and progress claims for various installation and construction works.
- Review and perform technical evaluations of vendor and supplier quotations.
- Monitor and maintain overall quality control of project works, including budget, schedule, work plans and personnel performance.
- Identify potential project risks, delays and technical issues and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, health, environmental and quality requirements.
- Attend meetings with clients, consultants and relevant stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status.
- Prepare and submit project reports and other necessary documentation to Management and clients.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Management in connection with the position.
