We are seeking an experienced Project Manager — Data, Migration & Analytics to play a pivotal role in one of News Corp Australia’s most significant technology transformations. As part of the Future of Subscriptions program, you’ll lead the delivery of the data, migration, and data stream components—including reporting, analytics, and associated capabilities—that will help transition millions of customer and subscription records from legacy platforms into a modern, scalable subscription ecosystem.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of technology, data, reporting, customer experience, and business transformation. You’ll bring together technology teams, data and analytics specialists, architects, vendors, and senior business stakeholders to navigate complex migration challenges, establish robust data foundations, and deliver successful migration waves with confidence. From defining strategy and mapping data through to analytics setup, testing, cutover, and hypercare, you’ll have genuine ownership of a critical component of the transformation.
If you’re a delivery-focused Project Manager who thrives on complexity, enjoys bringing structure to large-scale change, and is motivated by seeing transformation move from strategy into reality, this is an opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact on the future of subscriptions at News Corp Australia.
What’s the role?
- Lead the Data, Migration & Analytics streams end-to-end, owning the delivery plan, milestones, dependencies, critical path, risks, and governance across a major enterprise transformation.
- Drive complex data migration and reporting activity from legacy platforms into the future-state subscription ecosystem, spanning customer, subscriber, subscription, billing, product, and entitlement data, alongside comprehensive reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Orchestrate cross-functional delivery across technology, data, analytics, architecture, product, business teams, and external vendors, bringing clarity and momentum to complex dependencies.
- Own migration readiness, analytics validation, and cutover, leading data profiling, mapping, reporting design, testing, reconciliation, migration rehearsals, go/no-go decisions, and post-launch hypercare.
- Turn complexity into confident decisions, providing senior stakeholders with clear visibility of risks, trade-offs, progress, and outcomes while ensuring data quality, analytics integrity, and customer experience remain protected throughout the transformation.
- You’re an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record delivering complex data, migration, analytics, or technology transformation programs in large enterprise environments.
- You have proven experience taking major technology initiatives from strategy and planning through to data streams, reporting, testing, migration, cutover, and operational transition.
- You bring strong knowledge of data migration, analytics, reporting, data quality, reconciliation, mapping, and governance, with the ability to navigate complex legacy and future-state environments.
- You’re a confident stakeholder and vendor leader, able to bring technology, data, analytics, architecture, and business teams together around clear priorities, decisions, and outcomes.
- You’re structured, pragmatic, and commercially minded, with the judgement to identify risks early, solve complex delivery challenges, and communicate confidently with senior leaders.
