Quality Assurance Engineer
Summary
QA Engineer at an aluminium/metal facade company inspecting construction works for compliance with method statements, BCA standards, and ISO requirements. Prepares QA/QC plans, ITPs, and reports; coordinates material testing and supplier certificates.
- Co-ordinate on quality matters with project team, conduct regular inspection to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to BCA's good industry practice.
- Ensure that all project quality records and quality audit plans are maintained, assist in yearly ISO audit.
- Prepare Quality Control Plan, procedures and QA/QC reports.
- Inspect the final output, comparing it to the requirements and approving or rejecting the final products.
- Knowledge of welding inspection and ISO standards, familiar with CONQUAS, Green Mark and other essential BCA requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing to travel to various sites.
- Prepare Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
- Prepare document submission for client's approval.
- Compile and receive relevant material certificates and test report from suppliers.
- Co-ordinate with relevant testing laboratories for material testing and witnessing.
- Assist the project team on QA/QC matters.
- Good understanding of construction industry practices and standards in particular metal works and facade works.
- Degree / Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in metal work and facade industry.
