Regional IT Manager
Oversee IT Operations across several Wave countries, including Ivory Coast, Mali, and Burkina Faso. Manage infrastructure, local IT support, policies, security operations, vendors, technology investments, and budgets while improving efficiency and reducing risk.
Responsibilities
- Own IT operations across multiple countries, ensuring 99.9% uptime for IT services, hardware, and core tools.
- Act as the primary escalation point for country-level IT issues and coordinate with local staff and vendors.
- Ensure employees across the region have the tools and equipment needed to work effectively.
- Develop and maintain IT playbooks, policies, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to standardized onboarding, offboarding, infrastructure, asset management, and information security processes.
- Partner with Information Security to implement and uphold security policies.
- Advise IT and leadership teams on regional purchasing, infrastructure, and regulatory considerations.
- Identify resourcing gaps and drive hiring decisions for IT roles.
- Collaborate with People, Finance, and Operations teams to align IT with business goals.
- Review contracts, SLAs, renewals, and vendor performance.
- Evaluate technology investments and provide cost-benefit recommendations.
- Improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Participate in security reviews, incident response discussions, and risk assessments.
- Support identity management, multi-factor authentication, endpoint security, and compliance initiatives.
- Analyze vendor reports, operational metrics, technology spending, and support trends.
- Own the IT budget for assigned countries.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and French.
- 5+ years as a Country IT Manager, ideally in a fast-paced office setting.
- Experience managing IT operations across regionally dispersed teams or offices.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting corporate applications such as GSuite.
- Network management experience with products such as Palo Alto, Cisco, or Sophos.
- Experience selecting, implementing, and managing endpoint management systems such as Jamf, Intune, BigFix, or SCCM.
- Experience with macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Experience in telephony or telephony infrastructure management.
- Experience in process improvement and change management.
- Complex multi-stakeholder project management experience.
- Experience managing information security operations.
- Work authorization in Ivory Coast is required.
