Regional Merchant Business Development Manager
Drive merchant acquisition and commercial growth for GoBTC Pay by identifying high-potential businesses, building relationships with decision-makers, negotiating agreements, and supporting successful merchant launches.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the merchant acquisition strategy for the assigned region.
- Build and manage a pipeline of qualified merchant opportunities.
- Prospect, approach, and acquire new merchants through outbound and relationship-driven sales.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to signed agreement and successful onboarding.
- Identify high-value merchant opportunities across multiple industries.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations to support merchant launches.
- Drive merchant activation and increase transaction volume after launch.
- Develop local partnerships and co-marketing initiatives.
- Represent GoBTC Pay at business events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Gather market intelligence and competitor insights.
- Report pipeline health, sales forecasts, and commercial performance to leadership.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, Merchant Acquisition, or B2B Sales.
- Proven track record of acquiring and closing new business.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience selling fintech, payments, SaaS, banking, crypto, or financial products.
- Ability to build a pipeline independently.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward action.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Existing business network within the UAE.
- Fluent English.
- Experience with merchants or enterprise customers is a plus.
- Knowledge of payment processing, acquiring, or merchant services is a plus.
- Experience in crypto or digital assets is a plus.
