Reliability Test Engineer

We are seeking a Reliability Test Engineer. You will plan and run environmental and mechanical stress tests to validate product robustness, investigate failures and turn complex results into clear recommendations. Working full onsite in Shenzhen, you will partner with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability through strong test strategy, root cause analysis and data-driven reporting.

Responsibilities

• Create reliability test plans, schedules and reports, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
• Develop new reliability tests, procedures and specifications to strengthen product validation
• Plan and manage environmental and mechanical stress tests, including drop and vibration testing
• Analyze experimental data, identify failure mechanisms and drive root cause conclusions
• Apply physics-of-failure thinking to recommend practical design and process improvements
• Use Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to guide reliability decisions
• Communicate results to cross-functional teams and provide program direction to close reliability gaps
• Summarize large datasets into crisp, actionable updates for stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience in reliability testing, test planning and technical reporting
• Strong knowledge of environmental and mechanical stress testing, including drop and vibration
• Hands-on experience with failure analysis methodologies and physics of failure concepts
• Working knowledge of techniques such as optical microscopy, X-ray or computed tomography (CT), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) or mass spectrometry
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into clear recommendations
• Mandarin and English proficiency for daily collaboration and documentation
• Willingness to travel as needed based on program requirements

Nice to have

• Familiarity with consumer electronics reliability qualification processes
• Exposure to supplier, factory or contract lab collaboration and failure review workflows
• Experience supporting design reviews with reliability risk assessments
