We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support ongoing research projects in the areas of human-AI interaction and customer relationship marketing. The successful candidate will assist with data collection, literature reviews, experimental procedures, and analysis under the supervision of Prof. Kimmy Chan. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on research experience in a dynamic academic/professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesise research findings;
  • Assist in designing and implementing research methodologies;
  • Collect, organise, and analyse qualitative/quantitative data;
  • Collect field work data and engage in training and managing the operation of service robots;
  • Prepare research materials, reports, and presentations; and
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree (or in progress) in relevant fields e.g., Psychology, Marketing, Computer Science, Social Sciences;
  • Prior research experience (lab work, fieldwork, or academic projects) is preferred but not mandatory;
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities;
  • Proficiency in relevant tools, e.g., SPSS, R, Python, NVivo;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; and
  • Highly responsible and attentive to details.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of six to twelve months (or longer). Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
