40North Restaurants is seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our team at the iconic Black Horse Tavern & Pub in Mendham, NJ. What You'll Do

• Lead daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient service.

• Inspire, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and service.

• Manage labor, scheduling, and staffing to support operational and financial goals.

• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all company and health department standards.

• Partner with the kitchen and leadership teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.

• Analyze sales, labor, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for increased profitability.

• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while creating memorable dining experiences.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.

• Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience managing labor costs, food costs, and restaurant financial performance.

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• ServSafe Certification (or the ability to obtain one) preferred.

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for both guests and team members.
