Salary: $52,000 - $70,000 + Benefits

Travel: 10-12 days total per year, with leadership for sales training and industry exposure

Sales Assistant, Wholesale Retail Accounts (Jewelry) Description
Our client in the wholesale jewelry industry is looking for a Sales Assistant to add to their Wholesale Retail Accounts team in New York, NY. In this role, you will support the Account Manager with proposals, product listings, order tracking, reporting, and customer service for B2B and D2C accounts. You will learn how major retail accounts are managed across product data, order accuracy, retailer communication, and sales support. To be successful in this role, you must be motivated, organized, eager to learn, and willing to handle detailed sales support work while training toward a customer-facing sales role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow into wholesale account management and build a sales career in jewelry within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team.
Sales Assistant, Wholesale Retail Accounts (Jewelry) Responsibilities
• Assist with product proposals for accounts
• Complete spec sheets for approved products from vendor proposals
• Enter new product and order information into the database
• Ensure product data is up to date across all accounts
• Monitor account performance and strive to meet or exceed expectations
• Reconcile any data or product level issues
• Verify all open orders have been shipped and closed on customers' portals
• Address customer concerns and general product inquiries
• Deliver excellent customer service via phone, email, chat, and vendor portals
Sales Assistant, Wholesale Retail Accounts (Jewelry) Qualifications
• Retail, wholesale, sales, merchandising, or order support experience required
• Customer-facing communication experience required
• Interest in growing into a jewelry wholesale sales role required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, required
• Willingness to travel 10–12 days total, per year required
