Sales Engineer (Industrial Automation/ Training provided)
Key Responsibilities
Attend structured product, technical and application training during the initial onboarding period.
Develop a strong understanding of the company's products, solutions and their applications through training, seminars and on-the-job learning.
Provide technical consultation to customers by understanding their operational requirements and recommending suitable products or solutions.
Conduct customer visits and provide on-site technical support across assigned accounts and territories.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned market.
Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide appropriate technical and commercial support.
Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Manage sales activities and contribute to the development of territory and account strategies.
Support the introduction and promotion of new products and solutions within the assigned market.
Work towards achieving sales targets and expanding market presence within the assigned territory.
Participate in customer seminars, exhibitions, trade shows and other business development activities where required.
Manage day-to-day sales activities independently while maintaining effective communication with the wider team.
Maintain accurate records of customer activities, opportunities and sales-related information.
Comply with applicable company policies, procedures and sales processes.
Undertake other relevant duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline is preferred.
Interest in developing technical knowledge and applying engineering solutions to customer requirements.
Interest or prior exposure to manufacturing, industrial or technical environments.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
Good listening and customer engagement skills, with the ability to understand and respond to customer requirements.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers from different backgrounds.
Self-motivated and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
Willingness to participate in structured training and continuously develop product and application knowledge.
Comfortable with regular customer visits and travel within the assigned territory.
Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time, including the possibility of overnight travel.
