Responsibilities
- Develop new customers and business opportunities, with a focus on ship owners, ship managers, vessel operators, and other potential clients in the ship supplier industry.
- Manage and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients and other assigned key accounts
- Follow up closely with clients on enquiries, quotations, orders, feedback, and service requirements to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity.
- Accurately update customer enquiries, quotation details, order information, and line items in the company’s ERP systems, including D365 and SCINT.
- Work closely with the Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure quotations, pricing, order fulfilment, delivery arrangements, and payment follow-ups are properly coordinated.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and commercial arrangements with clients, while ensuring profitability and alignment with company guidelines.
- Monitor sales performance, customer requirements, market trends, and competitor activities, and provide regular updates to Management.
- Prepare proposals and business recommendations for Management’s review and decision-making.
- Identify areas for business growth, process improvement, cost reduction, and service enhancement within the commercial function.
- Participate in and lead business development, process improvement, and customer service initiatives as assigned by Management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, e-platform developments, and improvement strategies relevant to the ship supplier industry.
- Attend client meetings, business discussions, and networking opportunities where required.
- Support the achievement of sales targets, customer retention, and overall commercial department objectives.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Chinese & English to liaise with Chinese-speaking customers and clients from China.
