Sales Representative


  1. Follow up on leads generated by marketing (social media enquiries, WhatsApp, phone, website/landing page) promptly and convert them into confirmed sales.

  2. Handle walk-in and in-store customers, advising on products based on skin concerns and closing sales confidently and professionally.

  3. Maintain a structured follow-up process for undecided leads (call/WhatsApp cadence) so no lead goes cold without a deliberate attempt to convert.

  4. Achieve and exceed set individual sales/revenue targets on a weekly and monthly basis.

  5. Upsell and cross-sell complementary products where relevant to increase average order value.

  6. Work alongside the storekeeper to ensure the store is well-presented, products are available, and the purchase process is smooth and fast.

  7. Support with basic stock awareness (what's available, low stock, restock needs) so customers are never given inaccurate information.

  8. Assist with order processing, payment confirmation, and handover to the storekeeper for packaging/dispatch, ensuring no breakdown in the customer's experience at any handoff point.

  9. Escalate stock, pricing, or product issues promptly so they don't affect the customer experience.

  10. Guide new customers on product usage (how to use, expected results, skin routine fit) at the point of sale to set them up for a good first experience.

  11. Ensure every new customer is enrolled into the brand's onboarding communication (WhatsApp/SMS/email) before leaving the point of sale or completing an online order.

  12. Address first-time buyer questions/concerns confidently, escalating skin-specific concerns appropriately (e.g. to a dermatologist/esthetician where applicable).

  13. Maintain a personal record/CRM of customers sold to, including purchase history and preferences, to support repeat engagement.

  14. Proactively reach out to existing customers for replenishment reminders, new product launches, and promotions.

  15. Handle after-sales queries and complaints promptly and professionally, working to resolve issues and protect the customer relationship.

  16. Identify and flag at-risk or lapsed customers to the Marketing Lead for win-back campaigns.

  17. Maintain accurate daily/weekly records of leads contacted, sales closed, and revenue generated.

  18. Report conversion rates, objections encountered, and customer feedback to the Marketing Lead to inform strategy.



Requirements


  • Minimum of an OND/HND or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant sales experience may be considered in place of a degree.


  • 2–4+ years of experience in direct sales, retail sales, or customer-facing roles, ideally in FMCG, beauty/personal care, health, or consumer products.


  • Experience with lead follow-up and conversion (phone, WhatsApp, in-person) is essential.


  • Experience working closely with store/inventory operations is an advantage.


  • Strong selling and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


  • Basic product/skincare knowledge or willingness to be trained on product knowledge to advise customers credibly.


  • Comfortable using WhatsApp Business, basic CRM tools, or record-keeping systems to track leads and customers.


  • Well organized, with strong follow-through and attention to detail


  • Resilient and target-driven, with a positive, customer-first attitude.


  • Understanding of the Nigerian consumer and typical purchase behavior for beauty/skincare products.


  • Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends where required.


  • High level of integrity, especially around handling cash/payments and customer information.
