Salesforce Marketing Cloud Campaign Developer & QA
The Customer Retention team drives targeted outreach to small and medium business owners. We focus on building meaningful engagement through personalized, multi‑channel communication. This role plays a key part in supporting the development, testing, and deployment of email and phone campaigns across Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Salesforce Sales Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Development
- Build, test, and deploy campaign journeys in SFMC for email and phone programs, including triggered, recurring, and ad‑hoc sends.
- Configure and maintain CloudPages, forms, and preference centers to support data capture and campaign functionality.
- Create and manage audience segmentation, synchronized data extensions, data entry events, and automations.
- Maintain campaign assets, templates, and shared data extensions across USPS Business Units, ensuring governance, naming standards, and quality control.
- Set up and manage end‑to‑end data integrations, including automated Databricks‑to‑SFMC data transfers, with thorough testing, validation, and monitoring.
- Build automated campaigns using real‑time or near‑real‑time triggers originating from Salesforce or Databricks.
Quality Assurance (QA)
- Conduct full QA across journeys, data flows, segmentation logic, CloudPages, and campaign assets.
- Troubleshoot automation errors, send issues, data discrepancies, and integration breaks across SFMC, Sales Cloud, SFTP, and APIs.
- Monitor email deliverability, IP warming processes, and compliance with CAN-SPAM and data privacy guidelines.
- Document build steps, maintain QA checklists, runbooks, and processes for repeatable execution.
Functional / Operations
- Partner with internal teams to conduct campaign reviews, deployment readiness checks, and production QA sign‑offs.
- Support campaign project planning, coordinate deployment timelines, and collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Monitor campaign performance post‑deployment; handle issue resolution and support analytics/reporting activities.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all outbound marketing campaigns across channels.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience managing Salesforce Sales Cloud integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio).
- Proficiency with SFMC data management, SQL, and AMPscript.
- Familiarity with email deliverability practices and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Validity Everest/Return Path).
- Strong understanding of campaign workflows, governance, and quality control across multiple brands or business units.
- Experience with Einstein features such as Send Time Optimization and Engagement Scoring, and ability to apply them in journey design.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
