SAP Abap Developer
About the role:
We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP developer to join our dynamic technology team in Cairo. In this role, you will design, develop, and support custom ABAP solutions and SAP Fiori/UI5 applications to meet evolving business needs. You will collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality code and ensure seamless integration with SAP modules.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements
- Develop and customize SAP Fiori and UI5 applications according to business requirements
- Optimize existing code and perform performance tuning for ABAP and database operations
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production and non-production environments
- Document technical designs, development tasks, and configuration settings
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and status reporting
Required qualifications:
- 1 to 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
- Proven expertise in ABAP programming, including OO ABAP and performance optimization
- Experience developing SAP Fiori and UI5 applications using SAP Gateway and OData services
- Strong understanding of SAP data model, table structures, and integration technologies
- Working knowledge of SAP enhancement framework, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- SAP certification in ABAP development or SAP Fiori
- Experience with SAP HANA database and CDS views
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
- Previous exposure to SAP modules such as MM, SD, or FI
- Ability to mentor junior developers and lead small technical workstreams
