Scrum Master RTE

Candidature Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) with strong experience in Agile delivery and scaling Agile practices across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Scrum and SAFe ceremonies, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement, managing dependencies and impediments, and ensuring effective delivery across the Agile Release Train. Strong stakeholder management, servant leadership, facilitation, communication, and Agile coaching skills are essential.
Areas of responsibility:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Facilitate and coordinate SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, Inspect & Adapt, and PI System Demo.
- Coach Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile and SAFe principles, practices, and ways of working.
- Support teams in achieving self-organization, accountability, predictable delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the RTE for the Agile Release Train, coordinating multiple Agile teams toward common business and delivery objectives.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments, risks, dependencies, and blockers impacting delivery.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and facilitate collaboration across technology, product, architecture, and business teams.
- Partner with Product Management and Product Owners to support backlog readiness, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive PI Planning activities, ensuring effective preparation, facilitation, alignment, and commitment across participating teams.
- Monitor and communicate ART-level delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and key outcomes to stakeholders.
- Track Agile metrics such as velocity, predictability, throughput, cycle time, burndown, and PI objectives to identify improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate Inspect & Adapt sessions and drive actionable improvement initiatives across teams.
- Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives and contribute to Agile Communities of Practice, coaching, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Ensure Agile delivery practices are aligned with organizational governance, standards, and strategic objectives.
- Provide regular delivery updates and executive-level communication on progress, risks, dependencies, and impediments.
Must-have requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery, with significant experience as a Scrum Master and/or RTE in complex technology environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Scrum, Agile, and SAFe frameworks.
- Experience working with multiple Agile teams and coordinating cross-team dependencies.
- Strong experience facilitating Scrum and SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning and Inspect & Adapt.
- Experience coaching Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile ways of working.
- Strong understanding of Agile Release Train (ART) concepts and SAFe principles.
- Proven experience in impediment, dependency, risk, and issue management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams.
- Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience using Agile metrics and dashboards to monitor delivery performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong servant leadership and team coaching capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II/III).

- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) / SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM).
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
- Experience in Agile transformation and enterprise-level change initiatives.
- Experience managing large-scale technology programs or Agile Release Trains.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
