Security Engineer
Drive organization-wide security initiatives through internal security consulting, security assessment and improvement for internal tools, security rule definition and enhancement, security-product operation and audits, software and cloud risk assessments, stakeholder coordination, and information-security training and awareness.
Responsibilities
- Provide internal security consulting and advice to planning, development, and operations functions.
- Define, evaluate, and improve internal and product security rules.
- Operate security products and audit their configuration settings.
- Conduct security risk assessments for software, cloud environments, and asset inventories.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders and support security projects.
- Plan and deliver information-security education and awareness activities.
Requirements
- Experience in system development or operations within an IT department, or project management experience.
- Experience implementing security products.
- Experience in system consulting.
- Practical experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- A degree in computer science, information engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, and authentication.
- Practical experience and strong interest in security.
- Ability to identify, logically break down, and solve problems.
- Ability to define rules and processes when they do not exist.
