Security, Public Safety Officer
Under the general supervision of Department of Public Safety Sergeant and Corporal, the Security Officer, provides the highest level of public safety services to the Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians by preventing crime and ensuring the protection of life, property, and assets through engagement and enforcement of applicable policies, laws and ordinances on the Augustine Reservation. The Security Officer must possess the ability to balance public service while protecting the interest and assets of the Tribe.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assigned to stationary or patrol duties on the reservation including Tribal businesses and offices.
- Respond to calls for service and emergencies
- Conduct investigations and exclude individuals from tribal property for violations of policy, laws, and to prevent the interruption of tribal business.
- Prepares reports of criminal and non-criminal incidents.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in rendering appropriate aid
- Assist in patrolling the gaming facility and ensuring the protection of life, property and assets.
