Your Role:
As Global Transportation Excellence Senior Analyst, you will help optimize Elanco's global transportation network through cold chain expertise, performance analytics, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives. In this role, you will support efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across air, ocean, and ground transportation while partnering with external logistics providers and cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing.

Your Responsibilities:

• Global Logistics Cold Chain: This position will drive operational excellence by conducting comprehensive temperature data analysis to support informed decision-making across Elanco’s global network. Serving as a subject matter expert, you will become the super-user for Elanco’s AI cold chain platform, staying abreast of emerging technologies and training internal stakeholders on its efficient use. This role requires close coordination with global 3PLs and freight forwarders to design resilient distribution lanes and specialized shipping containers, ensuring efficient processes that minimize product risk from manufacturing sites to end customers. Additionally, you will provide critical excursion management support by investigating temperature deviations and utilizing advanced shipment data to determine product impact for key Elanco stakeholders.
• Performance Analytics & KPI Standardization: In this role you will drive operational excellence by establishing and standardizing key performance indicators (KPIs) across all transport modes to rigorously track carrier performance and optimize freight spend.
• Digital Transformation: Champion the digitalization of logistics processes, exploring automation, route optimization, and innovative technologies to improve transparency and data-driven decision-making.
• Sustainability & Optimization: Champion Elanco’s sustainability agenda by leading strategic initiatives to reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions through the implementation of eco-friendly transportation solutions and collaborative engagement with global logistics partners.
• Governance: By driving the creation, maintenance, and global adoption of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), you will foster operational consistency and support internal audits within the Global Logistics department. Through this governance, you will proactively identify regional training gaps and ensure that Elanco’s global distribution network operates with the highest level of integrity and regulatory alignment.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within a global organization.
• Advanced data analysis skills using Excel and Power BI, with hands-on experience in Freight Bill & Audit systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Deep knowledge of global cold chain logistics, end-to-end (E2E) supply chain processes, financial reconciliation, and foreign trade.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders (Fluent English level).

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

• Experience supporting temperature-sensitive or cold chain transportation in a regulated industry.
• Experience building and improving transportation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across multiple transport modes.
• Experience leading digital transformation, automation, or route optimization initiatives in logistics.
• Experience working on transportation sustainability initiatives, including Scope 3 emissions reduction.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and driving adoption of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a global logistics environment.
