(Senior) Android Developer
Design, build, and maintain a white-label Android game store app from the ground up using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. The role covers consumer-facing game browsing, accounts, libraries, ratings, reviews, download and installation management, partner branding, multi-channel builds, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the Android client for the game store using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
- Implement game browsing, categories, search and filtering, game detail pages, user accounts, game library, ratings, and reviews
- Design and implement resumable game downloads, guided or silent installation, signature verification, and version management
- Implement white-label theming and multi-channel build capabilities using Gradle product flavors or runtime theme configuration
- Optimize app performance, stability, binary size, and memory usage
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, backend developers, and QA
- Contribute to technical design and code reviews
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of native Android development experience
- Strong Kotlin skills, including coroutines and Flow, or equivalent Java expertise
- Proficiency with Jetpack Compose
- Proficiency with AI coding tools
- Familiarity with Android Jetpack components and MVVM/MVI architecture
- Familiarity with networking, image loading, and local storage libraries
- Experience with Gradle white-label, multi-tenant, and multi-flavor builds, signing, and version management
- Experience with app stores, content distribution, or downloader products
- Understanding of Android installation mechanisms, permissions, and behavioral changes across versions
- Solid engineering fundamentals, coding standards, unit testing, and GitLab/GitHub
- At least three gaming-related qualifications, including Chinese gaming, game operations, Unity or Unreal packages, game SDK integrations, or large-game download and update mechanisms
- Familiarity with CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Jenkins is a nice to have
