Senior Asset Manager

Serve as the primary point of contact for Asset Management clients, providing performance reporting, investment recommendations, portfolio analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, hold/sell analysis, and strategic guidance. Partner cross-functionally to improve NOI, occupancy, revenue, rent growth, leasing velocity, and investor outcomes while developing processes and using AI tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Asset Management clients and own weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc performance reporting.
  • Develop recommendations aligned with institutional partners' investment strategies.
  • Review portfolio performance, diagnose root causes, and recommend improvements to NOI, occupancy, revenue, rent growth, renewals, turns, and leasing velocity.
  • Partner with Property Management, Leasing, Rent Underwriting, Construction, Accounting, Data, Dispositions, and Acquisitions teams.
  • Support annual budgets and lead monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis.
  • Use Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma, dashboards, and KPI reporting to analyze data and improve operational visibility.
  • Produce financial reports and maintain lender and investor reporting models.
  • Monitor acquired assets, complete hold/sell analysis, and support acquisition and disposition strategy.
  • Advise the Buying Team on market trends, opportunities, and buy box strategies.
  • Develop Asset Management SOPs, workflows, trackers, and templates.
  • Use AI and emerging technologies to improve reporting accuracy and automate repeatable workflows.
  • Participate in occasional market visits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of asset management experience with multifamily, BTR, or SFR properties.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of SFR, BTR, or multifamily operations and NOI drivers.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience with Sigma or similar BI tools preferred.
  • Experience building annual budgets, supporting reforecasts, and preparing budget-to-actual variance analysis.
  • Ability to explain financial results and operational trends to stakeholders and institutional investors.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
  • High ownership, attention to detail, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity and process improvement.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; H-1B sponsorship is unavailable.
