Senior Automation Test Analyst
This role is based in the Perth CBD requiring the successful candidate to be on-site at the client site.
Responsibilities:
- Verification Execution: Conduct verification activities to confirm system behaviour, integrity, and compliance with technical specifications.
- Test Development & Execution: Design and perform manual and automated tests, including functional, performance, reliability, scalability, hardware-in-the-loop, and exploratory testing, and document results.
- Defect Management: Identify, record, and track defects; collaborate with development teams to resolve technical issues across multiple layers of a distributed system.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure verification efforts align with overall technical and delivery goals.
- Risk Mitigation: Contribute to identifying and addressing quality risks such as data integrity, network reliability, or system performance.
- Quality Metrics: Support the collection and reporting of quality metrics, helping measure system reliability, performance, and readiness.
- Reporting: Prepare clear, concise verification reports and provide updates on system quality and test progress.
- Training & Support: Assist in knowledge transfer, including providing guidance to support teams or contributing to training materials where required.
- Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and the role of verification in ensuring system quality.
- Strong experience with automated testing frameworks using Playwright
- Experience working in CI/CD environments
- Experience testing APIs and microservices-based architectures
- Familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with performance and load testing approaches
- Experience with Microsoft and Oracle Technologies would be highly regarded
- Experience testing distributed, complex, or real-time systems.
- Working knowledge of Linux environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to defect identification and resolution.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Selenium, or similar) is desirable.
