Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with 8+ years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in AWS infrastructure and production support. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in AWS RDS management, application troubleshooting, and end-to-end root cause analysis in complex production environments. This role requires strong system engineering skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, and availability issues across AWS services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure with a strong focus on RDS (performance tuning, backups, restores, Multi-AZ, and read replicas).

• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues across EC2, ALB, VPC, IAM, and related AWS services.

• Perform log analysis using CloudWatch to identify and resolve performance, latency, and connectivity issues.

• Conduct end-to-end root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventive measures.

• Diagnose dependency-related issues across distributed systems.

• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of AWS environments.

• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and SRE teams to resolve production issues and improve system reliability.

• Support and maintain AWS best practices for monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer / System Engineer, with strong AWS focus.

• Deep hands-on experience with AWS RDS (performance tuning, backups, restores, Multi-AZ, read replicas).

• Strong troubleshooting experience across EC2, ALB, VPC, IAM.

• Expertise in CloudWatch logs, metrics, and alarms.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts (latency, connectivity, security groups, NACLs).

• Proven experience handling production issues and performing root cause analysis.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems and application dependencies.

• Experience working in remote, production-critical environments.

Good to Have

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect / SysOps / DevOps Engineer).

• Experience with automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Experience with incident management and on-call support models.
