Senior Backend Engineer (Trading)
Build and optimize core trading systems supporting high concurrency and low latency across spot and futures trading, participating from business requirement analysis through implementation while ensuring stability, security, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based trading system modules, including order reception, matching engine, fund settlement, and market data distribution.
- Optimize system performance and resolve latency issues in high-concurrency scenarios to achieve millisecond-level order processing.
- Design distributed trading architectures with high availability under peak traffic.
- Implement trading rules for spot and futures trading, including margin and position-management mechanisms.
- Collaborate with the quantitative trading team on API interface development for high-frequency trading needs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems, formulate disaster recovery plans, and reduce production-environment risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 3-5 years of Java development experience and at least 1 year of trading system development experience.
- Proficiency in Java fundamentals, concurrent programming, thread pools, locking mechanisms, JVM principles, and JVM tuning.
- Familiarity with high-performance frameworks such as Netty and Disruptor; low-latency system development experience is preferred.
- Understanding of trading system logic, including order book design and matching algorithms for limit and market orders.
- Mastery of distributed system design principles and familiarity with Kafka, Redis, and MySQL in trading scenarios.
- Strong problem-analysis skills, including locating performance bottlenecks and business anomalies through logs and monitoring data.
- Experience in financial exchanges, securities firms, or quantitative trading companies is preferred.
