Senior Backend Software Engineer

Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure for an on-chain lending platform. Build high-performance Rust servers on GCP, manage cloud infrastructure and databases, develop testing and security measures, optimize performance, and deliver reliable software from ideation through production.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance Rust servers deployed on GCP.
• Interface backend services with the Solana network and web application.
• Build, maintain, improve, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Manage and optimize MySQL and Redis databases.
• Develop testing and security measures against sybil attacks, hacks, and other threats.
• Optimize system performance and scalability through code and architectural improvements.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
• Implement and uphold coding standards focused on extensibility, maintainability, and testing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working on performant services at scale.
• Experience in finance or adjacent industries.
• Experience with microservices, pub/sub, and messaging queues.
• Expertise in database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with GCP App Engine and GKE.
• Experience with complex CI/CD workflows and safe deployment strategies, including Blue-Green, Canary, and A/B Testing.
• Knowledge of networking, routing, load balancing, and telemetry tools.
• Ability to operate with ambiguous requirements.
• Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Understanding of blockchain development, SVM, and on-chain data indexing strategies.
