Senior Business Analyst – Digital Assets
- Lead the end-to-end business and functional analysis lifecycle for digital asset transaction flows, from pre-analysis through execution.
- Produce clear, testable Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), user stories, and acceptance criteria for transaction lifecycles, account management, and integrations.
- Map complete transaction flows—deposit detection, address generation, confirmations, withdrawals, screening, and reconciliation—including all edge cases and failure modes.
- Analyze and document integration specifications for custody providers, financial infrastructure, and payment processors, including API contracts, webhooks, and error handling.
- Translate AML/KYT, Travel Rule, and regional compliance mandates into actionable functional features alongside Legal and Compliance teams.
- Define data requirements, audit trails, and reporting frameworks to support trade reconciliation, monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
- Support Engineering and QA throughout delivery by clarifying requirements, assessing change impact, validating functionality, and leading UAT and vendor sandbox testing.
- Maintain requirements in Jira and Confluence while mentoring other Business Analysts to raise specification standards across the department.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years on crypto, digital asset, or blockchain-based products.
- Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an advantage.
- Proven experience writing detailed functional specifications for technical products — API integrations, transaction systems, or payment flows — that engineering teams can build from without ambiguity.
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals: major networks (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron), stablecoins, transaction confirmation models, network fees, and their operational implications.
- Experience documenting integrations with custody providers, on/off-ramps, or crypto payment processors (e.g. Fireblocks, BitGo, or similar) is a strong advantage.
- Working knowledge of crypto-specific compliance: AML/KYT screening, Travel Rule, and awareness of frameworks such as MiCA.
- Technically fluent — comfortable reading API documentation, understanding webhooks, idempotency, and asynchronous processing, and discussing system behavior with Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data mapping, process modelling, and edge-case analysis.
- Experience in fintech, brokerage, exchange, or other regulated high-risk environments is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
