ROLE OVERVIEW

Are you a highly technical Senior Business Analyst looking to make a massive impact in the Australian utilities sector? We are searching for an exceptional Senior Business Analyst on a contract basis to drive a major system consolidation for a leading utility retail enterprise.

In this highly specialized and pivotal position, you will be the core subject matter expert connecting commercial pricing frameworks with advanced system configurations. Your primary mission will be guiding the migration of multiple enterprise brands into a unified Gentrack g2.0 environment. This opportunity demands a highly operational, hands-on analyst who comprehensively understands the entire meter-to-cash process and can confidently navigate the strict compliance and regulatory landscape governing Australia's Power & Gas markets.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Capture, define, and detail technical and functional system needs for advanced billing modules within the Gentrack g2.0 framework, focusing heavily on concession integrations, solar feed-in tariffs, and complex multi-tiered pricing structures.

  • Interpret and convert stringent industry compliance directives, including the Victorian Energy Retail Code (V5/V6) and AER "Better Bills" frameworks into executable, highly accurate system specifications.

  • Architect and map transitional pricing frameworks from legacy systems to future-state models during brand consolidations, guaranteeing absolute accuracy and preventing any revenue leakage during tariff shifts.

  • Drive and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and comprehensive invoice validation processes to confirm that intricate tariff modifications and mandatory compliance communications are flawlessly presented on final customer bills.

MORE ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated, hands-on business analysis background working directly with Gentrack software (specifically g2.0 or Velocity) is an absolute must for this position.

  • Extensive, proven professional experience operating specifically within the Australian Power & Gas retail industry is strictly required.

  • Strong working knowledge of national and state-based utility compliance frameworks, including ESC Victoria, NERR/NECF, and Better Bills regulations.

  • Advanced capability in managing the end-to-end billing lifecycle, possessing deep knowledge of meter data handling and automated pricing communication logic.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of converting high-level industry reforms into precise configuration details and granular data maps.

If this opportunity aligns with your expertise and aspirations, please apply! Please feel free to reach out directly to Muneem Meah at muneem.meah(at)aurec.com, should you have any questions!
