Senior Business Analyst

Salary: $800-$1000/day

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a large Queensland organisation on a 12-month day-rate contract, supporting the ongoing optimisation, enhancement and effective use of critical business systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior BA who enjoys working at the intersection of business, technology and continuous improvement, and who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, technical teams and external vendors to translate complex business needs into practical solutions.
You will play a key role in identifying business improvement opportunities, analysing operational requirements, supporting system enhancements and helping the organisation maximise the value of its existing technology capability.

About the Role:
Working within a Digital Solutions environment, you will lead and contribute to complex business initiatives across business systems, process improvement and system optimisation.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading business process analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvement and enhanced customer outcomes
• Analysing current and future-state processes and developing recommendations for improvement
• Developing business requirements, business rules, process maps, functional specifications and supporting documentation
• Providing expert advice on Microsoft Dynamics 365 capabilities, with a focus on maximising existing functionality before considering custom solutions
• Working across Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE), Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Microsoft Power Platform
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams and external service providers to investigate and resolve complex business and system issues
• Assessing, prioritising and managing business system enhancement requests
• Supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of system releases, upgrades and enhancements
• Leading root cause analysis and identifying sustainable solutions to recurring business and system issues
• Ensuring requirements and proposed solutions are appropriately documented and aligned with governance requirements
• Supporting stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, business readiness and adoption of process and system changes
• Supporting UAT, validation activities and post-implementation reviews
• Maintaining business analysis artefacts, knowledge repositories and operational documentation
• Providing mentoring and guidance to other Business Analysts and team members

About You:
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Business Analyst who can operate confidently in a complex business environment and bring strong analytical, stakeholder engagement and process improvement capability.
You will ideally bring:

• Significant experience working as a Senior Business Analyst in complex business systems environments
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) will be highly regarded
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages
• Experience working across business-as-usual support, continuous improvement and business systems optimisation
• Strong business process analysis and process improvement capability
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear, practical and well-documented solutions
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• The ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability
• Experience working within structured governance, service management and change management environments
• The ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions and provide trusted advice to stakeholders
