Job Summary / Overview
An opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis activities for the replacement of an Automatic Vehicle Location solution. You will work across operational, ICT, procurement and senior stakeholder groups to define requirements and help ensure the new solution supports operational needs, ICT standards and strategic data outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities across the Automatic Vehicle Location solution replacement
- Elicit, analyse, document and validate business, functional, non-functional, data and reporting requirements
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with operational teams, ICT specialists, vendors and senior stakeholders
- Analyse current and future-state processes, workflows and information flows
- Assess business impacts, risks, assumptions, constraints and dependencies across people, process, data and technology
- Support procurement and solution evaluation through requirements traceability, evaluation criteria, vendor clarification and response analysis
- Translate technical considerations into clear business implications and decision-ready advice
- Prepare requirements specifications, process maps, stakeholder summaries, decision papers and change impact assessments
- Contribute to test planning, acceptance criteria, transition activities, communication materials and training needs analysis
- Provide senior-level analysis and advice throughout the replacement program
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated senior business analysis experience across complex ICT system replacement or transformation projects
- Strong experience eliciting and validating business, functional, non-functional, data and reporting requirements
- Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement with operational personnel, ICT teams, vendors and senior business representatives
- Relevant business analysis certification or demonstrated equivalent experience such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, IIBA-AAC or a recognised Business Analysis qualification
- Experience applying business analysis practices within complex ICT replacement or transformation environments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong business process and future-state analysis capability
- Understanding of ICT systems integration, data flows, telematics, location-based services and reporting concepts
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate technical considerations into clear business requirements and decisions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- Ability to assess risks, dependencies and implementation impacts
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities
