Senior Business Manager

Role Overview

We have an opportunity for someone to join us as a Senior Business Manager to work in a truly global environment to lead the execution of business strategies and drive operational performance within a business or entity of the organisation. This role partners closely with stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into practical initiatives, monitor business outcomes, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead decision-making processes related to business planning, resource allocation, and the prioritization and execution of business strategies

• Oversee day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality outcomes

• Monitor business performance, including business exposure, and key metrics, and provide regular analysis and reporting

• Evaluate commercial opportunities, including new transactions, partnerships, and market initiatives

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, workflows, and risk management practices

• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, including monitoring key performance indicators

• Lead, support, and develop team members to achieve business objectives

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• At least 10 years’ experience in a managerial role leading cross-functional teams in energy, financial services or related industry

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Adaptability and proactive approach to managing change and business needs

• Demonstrated experience and ability managing cross-functional teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Business-level fluency in Japanese and Mandarin language required due to the need to work closely with Japanese and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
