Senior Commercial Manager (Construction) | Permanent | Central

Role Overview

Our client is an established construction and engineering organisation with a strong track record in delivering major building and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial / Senior Quantity Surveying professional to lead commercial operations across construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee cost management, contract administration, procurement, and financial controls while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team overseeing commercial and contractual matters across construction projects
• Review and resolve contractual issues, claims, and commercial matters effectively
• Evaluate and certify progress claims, variation orders, and payment claims for main and subcontractors
• Manage final account settlements and ensure timely commercial close-out
• Monitor project cash flow, budgets, expenditure, and cost controls to ensure financial targets are achieved
• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support project and business objectives

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in construction/commercial management
• At least 5 years of experience with a Main Contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction contractual practices and standard contract forms, including REDAS, SIA, and PSSCOC
• Strong understanding of procurement, cost management, contract administration, claims, and project financial controls
• Experience in residential, commercial, and/or institutional projects is preferred
