We’re looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to help build the next generation of real-time detection, classification and tracking systems.
This is a highly technical, hands-on position sitting at the intersection of Computer Vision, Software Engineering and Edge AI. You’ll take ownership of complex computer vision problems and help turn algorithms and models into performant, reliable systems operating in challenging physical environments.
Location: Sydney (3 days/week in office)
Salary: Up to $160k + Super (DOE)

You’ll take ownership of complex computer vision problems and help turn algorithms and models into performant, reliable systems operating in challenging physical environments.
Location: Sydney (3 days/week in office)
Salary: Up to $160k + Super (DOE)
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and optimise computer vision algorithms across object detection, classification and tracking
- Build high-performance, production-grade software using C++ and Python
- Develop and optimise real-time image and video processing pipelines
- Integrate cameras and other sensors into computer vision systems
- Deploy and optimise AI/ML models across edge and GPU environments
- Work across multithreading, benchmarking and profiling to improve system performance
- Solve complex problems across areas such as tracking, sensor fusion, 3D geometry and image processing
- Work closely with Software, Machine Learning and Systems Engineers to take solutions from development through to production
- Take ownership of technical problems and contribute to architecture and engineering decisions across the product
- 5+ years' experience across Computer Vision, Perception or Software Engineering
- Strong commercial software engineering experience with C++
- Proven experience building and deploying real-world computer vision systems
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with OpenCV or similar computer vision frameworks
- Strong understanding of areas such as object detection, segmentation, tracking or image processing
- Experience developing performance-critical, real-time or multithreaded software
- Experience integrating cameras, LiDAR, thermal imaging or similar sensors would be highly regarded
- Exposure to CUDA, TensorRT, ONNX, NVIDIA GPUs, GStreamer or other edge/embedded technologies would be advantageous
- Experience with tracking algorithms, 3D geometry, sensor fusion or control systems would be beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently own complex technical challenges
