Senior Crypto Threat Analyst - Sanctions

Serve as a subject matter expert on global cryptoasset sanctions, owning sanctions coverage frameworks, investigating sanctioned entities and evasion networks, improving monitoring processes, remediating coverage gaps, mentoring colleagues, collaborating on platform capabilities, and producing intelligence content.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on global sanctions regimes
• Own and document a coverage framework for sanctions designation regimes
• Lead investigations into cryptoasset exposure to sanctioned entities, jurisdictions, and evasion networks
• Define and evolve the sanctions monitoring operating model
• Identify and remediate coverage gaps
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to translate sanctions intelligence into platform capabilities
• Produce intelligence reports, briefings, blogs, whitepapers, and client-facing content
• Represent sanctions intelligence at industry events, client briefings, and regulatory engagements

Requirements

• Significant professional experience as an intelligence analyst, investigator, or compliance specialist
• Independent subject matter expertise in global sanctions regimes
• Practical knowledge of OFAC, UK, EU, and UN frameworks
• Experience designing or improving monitoring and alerting frameworks, triage processes, or investigation playbooks
• Ability to identify systemic coverage risks and drive remediation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with blockchain analytics tools, OSINT, corporate registries, and adverse media sources
• Ability to apply AI tools to intelligence analysis and research workflows
• Experience researching sanctions evasion typologies
• Experience with automated sanctions list monitoring, cross-referencing tools, or detection logic design
• Technical understanding of cryptoassets, blockchain architecture, and on-chain analytics
