Senior Crypto Threat Analyst - Terrorism
Lead complex investigations into cryptoasset use by terrorist actors and facilitation networks, validate exposure and attribution confidence, build counter-terrorism financing intelligence, integrate entities and wallet clusters into datasets, develop typologies and detection logic, and communicate findings to customers, regulators, and public-sector partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead counter-terrorism financing research and investigations into cryptoasset activity linked to terrorist organizations and facilitation networks.
- Build and maintain intelligence on evolving counter-terrorism financing trends.
- Work across jurisdictions and designation regimes.
- Integrate entities, wallet clusters, and illicit behaviors into the intelligence dataset.
- Represent counter-terrorism financing intelligence capabilities in client briefings, training sessions, and industry forums.
- Support public-sector partners with intelligence to disrupt facilitation networks.
- Convert investigative findings into typologies and detection logic.
Requirements
- Experience in intelligence, threat analysis, financial crime, OSINT, or related investigative fields.
- Experience in a senior or highly autonomous role.
- Understanding of cryptoassets, blockchain analysis, and on-chain tracing tools.
- Experience producing evidence-based intelligence reports.
- Ability to use Python, SQL, or AI-assisted querying to analyze blockchain or open-source data.
- Strong analytical judgment when handling sensitive or uncertain intelligence.
- AI fluency applied to intelligence analysis, research workflows, pattern identification, OSINT processing, and written outputs.
- Experience investigating terrorist or sanctioned actors’ use of cryptoassets.
- Fluency or working proficiency in multiple languages.
- Understanding of obfuscation techniques used by illicit actors.
