Senior Cyber Project Manager – Microsoft Security

An opportunity has become available for an accomplished Senior Cyber Project Manager to lead a portfolio of important security initiatives within a large, complex enterprise technology environment.

This is a senior, hands-on delivery role requiring someone who can take genuine end-to-end ownership of cyber projects while operating effectively across security, architecture, infrastructure, operations, vendors and senior business stakeholders.

A significant proportion of the organisation's security roadmap has a Microsoft focus, making experience across the Microsoft security ecosystem particularly relevant.

The role

You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of cyber security initiatives from inception through to implementation and operational transition.

Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end delivery of complex cyber security projects
• Project planning, governance and delivery management
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial management
• Risk, issue and dependency management
• Management of internal teams and technology partners
• Vendor and commercial management
• Senior stakeholder engagement and reporting
• Coordination across cyber security, architecture and technology operations
• Transition of new security capabilities into operational environments

The security roadmap includes a strong Microsoft technology component, with initiatives relating to identity, access, governance and broader security transformation.

About you

You will be an experienced Senior Project Manager with a successful track record delivering complex cyber security initiatives within large enterprise environments.

Ideally, your background will include experience across some of the following:

• Microsoft security technologies
• Microsoft Entra
• Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
• Identity and Access Management
• Identity Governance
• Microsoft Entra Private Access
• Zero Trust initiatives
• Enterprise cyber security transformation

You do not need to be a hands-on security engineer or technical specialist. More important is your ability to understand the technology environment, work effectively with technical SMEs and maintain ownership of the overall delivery.

You will also bring strong project financial management, governance, vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.

The environment is fast-moving and requires people who can bring structure, establish effective ways of working and proactively drive delivery rather than relying on highly prescribed processes.
