Senior Data DevOps Engineer with Azure

Join EPAM as a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer and take ownership of building and evolving reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you'll work on complex AWS environments, design and automate infrastructure with Terraform, build robust CI/CD processes, and drive improvements across cloud operations. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to solve challenging technical problems and establish effective DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure across multiple environments using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated application and infrastructure delivery
• Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and engineering teams to design and implement effective cloud solutions
• Ensure AWS environments follow best practices for security, scalability, reliability, performance, and cost optimization
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions for cloud infrastructure and workloads
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, networking, deployment, and performance issues
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and introduce automation to reduce manual effort and increase platform reliability
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions related to cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
• Support and improve cloud environments, deployment processes, and operational procedures
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, gather requirements, provide technical updates, and proactively address risks and issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools
• Solid knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, and related cloud services
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, IAM, and cloud architecture principles
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform
• Good scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or similar technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills across cloud infrastructure and CI/CD environments
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, architects, security teams, and other stakeholders
• Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud best practices
• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including Amazon EKS
• Experience with AWS container services such as ECS
• Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda
• Experience with AWS cost optimization and FinOps practices
• Knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Experience implementing security and compliance best practices in AWS environments
• Experience with SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs, incident management, and reliability engineering
• Experience with advanced observability tools and platforms
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator
• Experience working in large-scale or multi-account AWS environments
