Senior Data Platform Engineer - AI Platform

Join TRM Labs' Data Platform Serving team to operate the StarRocks-backed serving layer supporting government cloud investigations. The role focuses on performance, reliability, incident response, AI-assisted debugging, and compliant high-availability infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer.
• Build and harden data pipelines supporting government cloud investigations.
• Operate and troubleshoot the serving layer independently.
• Use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage production issues.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Hands-on experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems such as StarRocks, Trino, ClickHouse, or similar.
• Experience with query tuning and performance optimization at scale.
• Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for debugging, code review, and documentation.
• Ability to independently operate and troubleshoot production infrastructure.
• Ability to take on-call responsibility with minimal oversight.
