Senior Database Administrator
Responsible for managing RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, optimizing performance, implementing replication and high availability, supporting development teams, and troubleshooting database issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery across bare-metal servers and virtual machines
- Implement and manage replication chains, partitioning, sharding, and backups
- Assist development teams with creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Troubleshoot database issues
- Drive automation using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field
- Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including DDL, DML, and DCL
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Linux
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
- Experience with scripting, automation, and IaC tools is a plus
- Team management experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix is a plus
