Senior DevOps Engineer
Design, implement, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS using Pulumi. Build CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes, networking, secrets, observability, incident response, and security controls while collaborating with backend engineers on Go services and architectural decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve production infrastructure, including cloud architecture, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, observability, and security.
- Design and maintain GCP and AWS infrastructure using Pulumi with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Build and improve GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe, and auditable backend delivery.
- Partner with backend engineers on Go development, infrastructure tooling, and production-readiness improvements.
- Operate Kubernetes environments, networking, and secrets management.
- Drive monitoring, alerting, incident response, and observability improvements.
- Embed security best practices across IAM, network policies, secrets, delivery pipelines, and compliance controls.
- Collaborate on architecture, technology decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional DevOps or infrastructure experience in high-scale cloud services or SaaS products.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Deep experience with GCP and/or AWS, networking, IAM, and managed services at scale.
- Production experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Production experience with Kubernetes and container-based delivery.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- Strong scripting or development skills and ability to review production code.
- Production experience operating PostgreSQL or other managed databases.
- Nice to have Go development experience or willingness to contribute to backend services.
- Nice to have cloud security, identity, secrets management, threat modeling, or DevSecOps experience.
- Nice to have Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or similar observability experience.
- Nice to have applied cryptography, blockchain, or security-sensitive financial systems experience.
- Nice to have experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
