Senior Engineering Manager, Platform
Lead and grow a platform engineering team spanning infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, and developer experience. Own technical direction, platform delivery, cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, reliability, security, incident practices, and AI-powered internal tooling.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps, and Developer Experience.
- Set technical direction for platform architecture and ensure roadmap execution.
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in tooling, infrastructure, and reliability.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling in a regulated environment.
- Design and build AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows.
- Improve developer productivity across onboarding, CI/CD, and local-to-production workflows.
- Ensure systems are secure, scalable, observable, and resilient.
- Own incident management practices, postmortems, and on-call rotation sustainability.
- Collaborate with product engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders.
- Connect platform initiatives to business and customer impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- 3+ years managing and growing high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tooling, and GitOps.
- Experience operating production systems and supporting on-call rotations.
- Ability to set technical direction across developer experience and infrastructure.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills focused on business impact.
- Comfort using AI tools for development, debugging, and learning.
- Experience in fintech or regulated environments is a bonus.
- Prior Staff or Senior Engineer experience before moving into management is a bonus.
- Interest in Bitcoin is a bonus.
- Fluency in English.
