Responsibilities

Business Development

• Originate, develop and close pipeline of solar and renewable energy opportunities
• Engage customers and key stakeholders to understand requirements and develop commercial solutions
• Lead and coordinate the submission of bids for large-scale Government Tenders
• Diligently use CRM as the key platform to capture all customer details, process governance and maintain customer relationships
• Prepare investment papers and work with Group Functions (Finance, Risk, HSSE, HR, Legal, Procurement & Group Asset Performance) to seek project approval from the Investment Committee

Commercial

• Develop and maintain financial models, perform scenario analysis, and assess project economics and business risks to support investment and commercial decisions.
• Conduct Post Investment Review for past projects that have been completed and reached Commercial Operations Date (COD). This includes using both actual historical cash flow and forecast information to be incorporated in the overall financial model.
• Identify key financial and non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks.
• Provide assessment of investment case including analysis and sensitivities.
• Maintain the full list of secured projects and ensure that the portfolio of projects comply with the Terms of Reference as approved by the Investment Committee and provide quarterly reporting to management.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Business Development/ Commercial related roles, preferably in the energy/ renewables sector
• Good understanding and able to work with financial models.
• Effective in communication and have a good understanding of Power Purchase Agreements.
• Experience in utility scale projects will be viewed favorably
