Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance and Strategy
Join Plaid's Corporate Finance team, the strategic and externally oriented arm of finance, covering board processes, long-range planning, capital structure, stock-based compensation and equity modeling, and enterprise-level financial strategy. Partner with senior leadership, the Board, Corp Dev, and Accounting on decisions shaping the company's long-term financial trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Own components of the 3–5 year long-range plan, including model design, scenario analysis, and translation of company strategy into financial targets.
- Partner on the end-to-end PMO of the quarterly Board process, including framework development, narrative ownership, materials build, and Q&A management.
- Build and operationalize SBC and equity models incorporating headcount growth, grant cadence, forfeitures, and refresh cycles.
- Tie SBC into GAAP profitability, EBITDA, and margin analysis.
- Lead consolidated cash flow forecasting and contingency or management reserve strategy.
- Run total company forecast reviews against company targets.
- Drive external benchmarking against peer companies on financial and non-financial metrics.
- Build analytical foundations for long-term capital and operating decisions.
- Partner with Corp Dev on capital raise activities, pro-forma reporting, forecasting, and capital structure analysis.
- Perform ad hoc analyses influencing long-term business planning and decision-making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, or management consulting, ideally in technology, SaaS, or fintech.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including long-range, scenario or sensitivity, and valuation models.
- Strong command of consolidated financial statements, SaaS or fintech operating metrics, and external benchmarking.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for senior leaders and the Board.
- Ability to partner cross-functionally and distill complex, ambiguous topics into structured frameworks and clear recommendations.
- Proactive, intellectually curious self-starter able to thrive in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment.
