Work across multiple concurrent or sequential projects, moving comfortably between different codebases, technologies, and business problems.
Focus primarily on frontend development while contributing to backend development when required.
Use AI-assisted development tools as a core part of the engineering workflow.
Follow a specification-driven development approach by guiding AI tools, reviewing generated code, and ensuring the quality of the final solution.
Collaborate with subject-matter experts and internal R&D teams when projects involve unfamiliar, complex, or specialized technologies.
Build, test, review, and deliver reliable solutions that meet project requirements and agreed timelines.
Technical Environment
Frontend—primary focus
React
Node.js
Backend
Java as the primary business-logic layer
Node.js as an API gateway layer
Legacy technologies—used in selected projects
Ember
CoffeeScript
Previous experience with legacy technologies is not required, but candidates should be comfortable learning and working with them when needed.
Versatility across technologies is more important than deep specialization in a single language or framework. The ideal candidate can adapt quickly and work effectively across different technology stacks.
AI-Assisted Development Expectations
Strong proficiency with AI-assisted development tools is a core requirement.
The role focuses on using AI tools to support daily software engineering activities, rather than building AI products or solutions.
Engineers are expected to follow a specification-driven development approach, directing AI tools to generate and refine solutions instead of relying exclusively on manual, line-by-line coding.
Candidates should have experience using AI tools to build, deploy, test, debug, and review code.
The ideal candidate actively supports AI-assisted engineering practices and understands how to validate AI-generated outputs for quality, security, maintainability, and accuracy.
Skills and Working Style
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions, progress, and reasoning.
Comfortable working within a professional-services and project-delivery model.
Able to transition efficiently between projects, technologies, and business domains.
Adaptable and capable of becoming productive with limited ramp-up time.
Collaborative and comfortable working with engineering teams, subject-matter experts, and client-facing stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, delivery-focused mindset.
