Senior Interaction Designer, Android Developer Experience

From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

• Design high quality developer and agentic experiences, with a sophisticated understanding of how UI libraries are used to craft end user experiences.
• Be proficient in micro-interactions, animation, and prototyping. Use industry tools and leverage LLMs to create precise and beautiful prototypes.
• Demonstrate a builder mindset with experience in writing code and the ability to independently experiment with cutting-edge APIs.
• Articulate and lead a design goal to stakeholders, from library engineers to executive leadership, using exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
• Influence and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to drive impact.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  
• 2 years of experience leading design projects.
  
• Experience in writing and shipping code.
• Expertise in creating developer-centric, highly technical experiences.
• Portfolio that demonstrates high design craft, animation and micro-interaction skills.
