Senior Manager FinCrimes AML KYC

Own the KYC program within Polymarket's Legal and Compliance function, designing and maintaining CIP, CDD, and EDD processes, managing KYC analysts, establishing risk and quality controls, embedding KYC into onboarding, reporting metrics, supporting regulators, and managing compliance technology vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the KYC program, including CIP, CDD, and EDD policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Design and refine customer risk-rating methodology, escalation criteria, and decisioning frameworks.
• Review escalated EDD cases and establish quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Manage, hire, train, coach, and evaluate KYC analysts.
• Partner with Product and Operations to embed KYC and CIP requirements into onboarding workflows.
• Track program metrics and trends and present findings to senior leadership and the Risk Committee.
• Represent the AML and sanctions function with regulators, clients, and external partners.
• Manage third-party compliance vendors and technology providers, including AI and automation tools.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of progressive BSA/AML experience with direct KYC program ownership or leadership at a FinTech, derivatives firm, or broker-dealer.
• 5 or more years managing and developing AML and KYC analyst teams.
• Experience designing or rebuilding CIP, CDD, and EDD frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of BSA requirements and CFTC/NFA regulatory expectations for DCMs, DCOs, and FCMs.
• Experience embedding KYC requirements into product onboarding workflows.
• Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, or independent testing of AML or sanctions programs.
• Experience presenting program metrics and escalations to senior leadership or board-level stakeholders.
• CAMS certification, Chainalysis credentials, prior CFTC or NFA-registered entity experience, AI or automation vendor evaluation experience, and familiarity with Looker, R, or Stata are pluses.
